Recently, the AAPA Executive Committee and the AAAG endorsed the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) statement on "The Responsibility to Recontact Research Participants after Reinterpretation of Genetic and Genomic Research Results," which was published in April 2019. In response to strong interest in learning more about this topic, the ASHG is hosting a webinar, "Exploring the Responsibility to Recontact," on June 25 at 1-2pm EDT.
The webinar information is accessible at https://www.pathlms.com/ashg/webinars/5635
The statement is published as Bombard Y et al. (4 April 2019). The responsibility to recontact research participants after reinterpretation of genetic and genomic research results. The American Journal of Human Genetics. 104: 578-595. DOI: 10.1016/j.ajhg.2019.02.025.
