Postdoctoral Fellow and Lecturer in Human Evolutionary Biology

Position Description: The Department of Human Evolutionary Biology seeks applications for a full-time position that combines postdoctoral research and undergraduate teaching responsibilities. The position is initially for one year with reappointment for additional years contingent upon successful performance and review. The target start date is flexible. Research responsibilities will involve doing research on the biomechanics and physiology of locomotion in the Skeletal Biology and Biomechanics Laboratory (PI, Professor Daniel Lieberman).

Teaching responsibilities will entail helping supervise undergraduate research in the Skeletal Biology Lab and Peabody Museum. Additional responsibilities will involve helping assist and training students with specialized equipment in the lab for their research, ensuring lab safety, and managing research activities in the skeletal biology lab.

The successful applicant will be hired as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Lecturer in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology.

Doctorate in biological anthropology, human evolutionary biology or related discipline required by the time the appointment begins.

Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching is desired. Applicants should be knowledgeable about human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics and have experience in experimental methods.
