The Department of Sociology & Anthropology at OHIO University seeks to fill temporary, part-time Instructor of Anthropology positions. We are accepting resumes/CVs for potential openings in Sociology & Anthropology for the academic year 2023-2024, as needed. Applications to this pool will be considered to fill part-time, non-tenure track, non-benefits eligible instructor positions at the Athens campus, regional campus or online depending upon departmental needs. The need for these positions is currently undetermined and is dependent on operational need, including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.

Potential courses include undergraduate sections of Introduction to Cultural Anthropology (ANTH 1010) or Introduction to Biological Anthropology (ANTH 2010) or Introduction to World Archaeology (ANTH 2020).

The course(s) might be taught online or on one of the following campuses: Athens, Chillicothe, Eastern, Lancaster, Pickerington, Proctorville, Southern, or Zanesville. On-campus instruction requires three hours in-class instruction per class per week and an additional hour per week for office hours.
