Stanford University invites applications for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Nature-based Climate Solutions. Nature can be a powerful ally in combating and coping with climate change. Examples of nature-based solutions include strategies to increase carbon storage on land and oceans, as well as nature-based strategies that help people and economies cope with climate change. We invite candidates that have completed or will soon complete their PhD in a broad range of areas (including but not limited to natural sciences, engineering, and social sciences) to apply. We encourage applicants at all levels to apply. The successful candidate will serve as faculty in Stanford’s Doerr School of Sustainability. Candidates must have an exceptional record of scholarly work in nature-based climate solutions, be interested in interdisciplinary approaches, demonstrate a dedication to teaching, and an established commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The expected base pay range for this position is:
● Assistant Professor: $126,000-$145,000 per annum ● Associate Professor: $155,000 - $190,000 per annum ● Professor: $186,000 - $248,000 per annum
Stanford University has provided a base pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
