As a Lecturer (Level B), you will be expected to carry out activities to develop your scholarly research and professional activities both nationally and internationally and to contribute significantly to achieving the teaching and service missions of the School and Faculty. The role of Lecturer reports to the Head of Anatomy and has no direct reports.

The Department of Anatomy at UNSW offers a range of subjects across the discipline to students who wish to take individual subjects as part of their course or who wish to engage in a full program majoring in anatomy or biological anatomical anthropology. Anatomy subjects are offered as part of the Bachelor of Science and Advanced Science programs as well as the Bachelor of Medical Science and Exercise Physiology programs. Anatomy is also an essential component of all undergraduate medicine programs at UNSW.

Who you are:

To be successful you must have:

A PhD in a related discipline (e.g. in anatomy or anatomical sciences), and/or substantial relevant work experience in the discipline;

Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leadership.

Proven commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.

Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in a field related to the anatomical sciences.

Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.

Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline- based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).

Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable).

Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.

High level communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff.

Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives
