The Boston University Department of Anthropology invites applications for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Biological Anthropology, starting September 2022. The position entails teaching 2 courses each semester, covering topics in primate behavior, methods in biological anthropology, human reproductive biology and behavior, human evolution, and the evolution of the human diet. The applicant is expected to have an active research program and to participate fully in the academic life of the department, including helping to advise undergraduate and graduate students, attending lectures and symposia, and participating in department colloquia.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. completed by the start date, an active research program, and a strong teaching record of teaching excellence. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2022.
