The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment in the Center for Functional Anatomy and Evolution (FAE) at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The successful candidate will serve as Director of the Center. FAE faculty are responsible for teaching human anatomy to first year medical students, including a full dissection laboratory, as well as several graduate and undergraduate courses in anatomy and organismal biology. Research interests of the FAE faculty are diverse, including early vertebrate evolution, primate evolution, mammalian craniodental and postcranial functional morphology, statistical analysis of biological shape, biomechanics, and evolutionary theory. The Center administers a Ph.D. program in functional anatomy and evolution, as well as a Master’s program in anatomy education.
