General Information: A postdoctoral position is immediately available to work on population genomics of Native Americans at Hünemeier’s Lab at the Institute of Biosciences, University of São Paulo, Brazil. The project aims to understand the evolutionary causes and mechanisms involved in the Native American populations’ response to pathogens.
Qualifications: The qualified applicant will have a Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, Evolutionary Biology, Computational Biology, Genetics, or a related field. Bioinformatics experience and previous experience with NGS analysis using a Cloud environment are essential, as well as a strong background in population genomics. The applicant should have experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages (Python and R).
