The Department of Anthropology at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a one-year, full-time Lecturer position to begin August 1, 2020 contingent upon budgetary approval and department staffing needs. We seek a biological anthropologist who will add to and complement the existing curriculum. The teaching load is 3/3. The successful candidate will co-teach the lectures and labs for two sections of the introductory course on biological and archaeological anthropology, and offer three upper-division electives that focus on the candidate’s geographical and/or topical interests. Contingent on department needs, in lieu of one elective, teaching duties may include co-teaching one semester of the senior thesis seminar. Topics for electives might include, but are not limited to: bioarchaeology, paleoanthropology, race and human variation, and/or human biology.

A Ph.D. in hand by the start of the position is required, and previous teaching experience is preferred.
