A visiting assistant professor to teach courses for our human biology major during the academic year 2019-2020 and possibly 2020-2021. The specialization is fairly broad. An ideal fit would be someone who can teach some of these courses: life history, exercise physiology, reproductive ecology/biology, human biomechanics, or human physiology/adaptation. Other areas are possible (genetics, osteology, forensics, etc.). The course load would be 3 + 3. Some lab instruction in our anatomy & physiology course may substitute for a course, depending on needs of the major. No advising or service obligations. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred. Candidates should have a PhD. by the start date, but those with ABD status will also be considered. The salary is $50,000. Interested candidates should submit their CV to [email protected]. The position will be open until filled. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of one additional year. The University at Albany is an EO/AA/IRCA/ADA Employer.
